Charity Week ISOC

Abubakr’s Emergency Fundraiser for Yemen, Kashmir and Syria | Charity Week

£510 of £500 raised

Salaam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah; This year I, alongside a number of brothers from City ISOC will be taking on Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, located in the Lake District National Park. It is due to be a challenging but successful day In shaa Allah, and a great opportunity to strengthen the brotherhood whilst working together to raise money for a common cause.

Right now, children in places like Syria and Yemen are caught up in violent conflict. They are fleeing war and disaster in greater numbers than at any time since World War 2.

And in countries such as Pakistan/Kashmir, children have seen their communities destroyed by natural disasters like earthquakes and flooding. Please do your part and aid anyway you can. Allah, the Exalted, says: “And whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah’s Cause), He will replace it.” (Qur’an – 34:39) “And whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, when you spend not except seeking Allah’s Countenance. And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.” (Qur’an – 2:272) “And whatever you spend in good, surely Allah knows it well.” (Qur’an – 2:273) Abdullah binAmr bin Al -`as (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), “Which act in Islam is the best?” He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “To feed (the poor and the needy) and to greet those whom you know and those you do not know.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Charity does not diminish the wealth, and charity can take place in many forms. Whether you decide to donate, share or forward; any and all efforts are appreciated and no amount is too small. Baarak Allah feekum, Wa Jazakumullahu Khayraa
