Tropical Cyclone Idai has ripped through southern Africa. Hundreds of thousands of people in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe are affected by flooding and thousands are still missing. Fears are growing for more than 100,000 children and adults whose lives are at immediate risk. As water systems become contaminated, there is increased likelihood of an outbreak of waterborne diseases like cholera, which if left untreated, can be fatal. In Mozambique, families and children are desperately fighting for survival, trapped in their homes and fleeing to rooftops. Others have been forced out of their flooded homes, and now lack basic supplies such as food, water and sanitation. Crisis Aid are on the ground, helping to deliver emergency packs to those most in need.
£60 will provide an Emergency Pack which will consist of: Consists of shelter, food rations, clean water and emergency medical care.
