Eritrea Medicine Pack
Eastern Sudan hosts 112,283 Eritrean refugees – 83,499 of who live in camps and 28,784 in urban areas. People fleeing repression, insecurity, famine and drought crossed the border into Eastern Sudan.
Many of these refugees have been subjected to kidnapping, extortion, and severe sexual and physical violence by criminal groups involved in human trafficking.
Victims of these crimes tell horrendous stories of their ordeals. Crisis Aid is planning to help these forgotten refugees by providing food parcels and medical treatment.
Our team of volunteers will be traveling to East Sudan in February 2017 to deliver your aid. Please donate generously to any of the urgent appeals below.
Medical Treatment
A common illness in the camps is Trachoma which is an infectious disease and starts off as conjunctivitis but can lead to blindness if not treated. We intend to team up with a local hospital to do eye checks and treat those who suffer from Trachoma.
