In loving memory of Yasar Rashid
اَلسَّلاَ مُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَا تُهُ
As some of you are aware, we lost our very dear brother Yasar Rashid to covid. He spent his last 5 weeks on the ventilator and finally lost his battle on 8th December 2021.
The fortunate ones to know him knew he was a loving person, full of life and energy and never had a bad thing to say about anyone.
He had an amazing personality, well respected and brought light to any room he was in.
Physically mashallah he was a big strong lad who had the heart of a lion, very strong in the gym, only 42 years of age, yet lost this battle. This in itself is a reminder about the current circumstance around Covid – if it’s capable of taking away someone like Yasar, then it’s capable of taking away any of us.
Yes Allah is the best of planners and nothing happens without his consent but let this be a reminder to us all to at least tie our camel and then leave it in Allahs hands.
We have decided to make a solar panel water well in his name as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah. We request for donations to contribute towards this project.
Not only will it be reward for him, but also reward for the donors. “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Sahih Muslim) Please join us on this project which will ultimately have long term benefit for the users and make a huge difference on many lives.
Jazakallah everyone and stay safe.
