Ramadan Food Parcels for Yemen
It was narrated that Zayd Ibn Khaalid Al-Juhani said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Whoever gives Iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” Tirmidhi
Asalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Ramadan Mubarak my dear brothers and sisters. In Shaa Allah you are all in the best of health and emaan.
Ramadan is the blessed month of fasting for millions of Muslims around the world. We all eagerly await the time of Iftaar to enjoy our meals with our families. Unfortunately for many people who live in poorer countries they fast on an empty stomach and have little or no food for Iftaar in the evenings, Subhan’Allah.
As a British Born Yemeni living in London this Fundraising Appeal is close to my heart. I have extended family living in Aden, Yemen who have lived and witnessed some truly difficult situations, from lack of food and clean water, to poor housing, health care and hygiene facilities.
Crisis Aid have done amazing work in building a network in Yemen, supporting and providing the basics for those in need. In this blessed month of Ramadan, Crisis Aid will distribute Ramadan Food Parcels to those in need in Sanaa, Taiz, Ibb and Aden.
This Ramadan you can provide a Food Parcel for a family of six in Yemen. A donation of £30 will provide the family with both Iftaar and Sahoor (pre-dawn breakfast).
One Food Parcel contains: 25kg of Flour, 10kg of Rice, 4.5L of Cooking Oil, 5kg of Sugar, 4.8kg of Beans and 1kg of Dates.
This Food Parcel will comfortably last a family of six for one month.
Ramadan is the time for us to reflect on our lives and think of those less fortunate.
It’s the time to give with good intentions for the sake of Allah (swt). To help our brothers and sisters in Yemen to live another day In Shaa Allah. Your donation can save a life, provide a nutritious meal and bring happiness to a family during Ramadan. Let us show our gratitude to Allah (swt) for the many different blessings he has given us by helping those less fortunate than us.
I ask you my dear brothers and sisters to donate generously to this important cause. Please donate and share with others. Please help us support the wonderful people of Yemen.
May Allah (swt) reward you for your kind donations, Ameen.
