Sadaqa Jariya For Dewan Shamsul Islam
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيم An elder of our local community Dewan Shamsul Islam has recently returned back to his Lord (May Allah Have Mercy On Him) He was an amazing Uncle, someone from the first generation of bengalis to come to the UK.
Subhanallah all I am hearing is amazinggg, beautiful things about him Rahimahullah (May Allah Have Mercy On Him) He was the first to establish a Halal Butchers in our town. Till this day I remember how loving and caring he was to the younger generation, always smiling and making us feel welcome and treating us with sweets. What a legend. Sooo many stories are coming out how he helped many many people.
What a beautiful soul. If you’re reading this please make du’a for him and his family.
What an inspirational man he was. People always say leave a legacy, leave a positive a positive mark. Alhamdulillah he definitely has! May Allah Grant him the loftiest of places in Jannah Tul Firdouse. Ameen! Alhamdulillah we have created this charity appeal in his name.
It will be a sadaqa jariya (ongoing charity) for him Insha’Allah.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” (Sahih Muslim) We are trying to raise £1000 for a Deep waterwell to be built in a poor village in Bangladesh. T
his will not only quench the thirst of poor Bangladesh people but also many Rohingyan refugees too Insha’Allah. So Insha’Allah for every sip a person takes out of this waterwell; He Insha’Allah will be rewarded. Subhanallah imagine the rewards and the du’as he will be receiving even after he has passed away.
Alhamdulillah! انا الله و انا إليه راجعون A truly great man who served the Muslim community for many many years! Let’s work together and make this dream a reality brothers and sisters. Donate what you can and after that pass this link on to your family and friends. Let’s share in this reward and do something positive and good for our beloved Elder of our community. May Allah accept it from us all. Ameen!
Here’s some more info regarding the appeal…. Rohingya & Bangladesh Water well The average person drinks between 5-9 glasses of water per day. Unfortunately for many around the world, even a drop of water is a luxury they cannot afford. Hundreds of thousands of people called the Rohingya have been fleeing the genocide against them In Myanmar and have become displaced in neighbouring Bangladesh, where they lack the essentials of life, especially water.
The acute lack of water means that the little water available is shared amongst tens of thousands of refugees increasing the risks of contamination and the spread of water-borne diseases such as cholera and diarrhoea. Every year over 3 million people die from these water bourn diseases around the world.
The UNCHR’s public health officer Hervé Isambert has warned that “An outbreak can start at anytime.” Our Rohingya Muslim brothers and sisters are still not safe in Bangladesh and so it is essential that we help them with more water sources to help sustain their shattered lives and avert an impending disaster.
