Build a Masjid – Sadaqah Jariyah

£14,777 of £15,000 raised

Assalāmu ‘alaykum warahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu;

I am raising funds for a Sadaqah Jariyah project in the form of a Masjid in The Gambia on behalf of my late father Khalil Ahmed, may Allah have mercy on him and grant him a high and lofty status.

My father was someone who always encouraged us to do good and help others that needed help in any situation.

What we take for granted here in the UK is rare in places such as The Gambia, it is for this reason I intend to build a lasting legacy on behalf of my father, that will continue to benefit him in the grave and Allah Willing on the Day of Judgement, at the same time you will also attain great rewards, such is the generosity and the Mercy of Allah.

Allah Willing, the Masjid will provide a prayer space for at least 120 people and will be powered by a Solar System through which the Masjid will have lighting, fans, and an audio system.

Allah Willing other items will continue to added after the initial target is met, the vision is to add a toilet block and water well.

The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow’s nest or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

Whoever takes part in the building of this Masjid will be rewarded for every prayer, every act of worship, every Duaa and every letter of the Quran that is recited.

The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“When a human being dies, all of his deeds are terminated except for three types: an ongoing sadaqah, a knowledge (of Islam) from which others benefit, and a righteous child who makes Dua’ for him.”
