Syria Flour Appeal

The staple diet  for Syrian refugees is bread and it is the food they miss the most. Children are reduced to eating grass in boiled water due to the massive food shortages. Crisis Aid works with bread factories and bakeries to help provide truck loads of flour to refugees both in refugee camps. This project has dual benefits; huge numbers of refugees are fed and jobs are provided for people in the bread factories, paving the way for a self-sustainable future.

More than six million Syrians have been displaced, and over half of those have fled to neighbouring countries such as Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt and Iraq and become refugees. Millions more have been left in poor living conditions with shortages of food and water.

Thanks to your donations, Crisis Aid are now sending trucks full of flour to make fresh bread which helps to feed thousands of people in the refugee camps.

Crisis Aid flour appeal is ongoing; we have sent over 200 tonnes of flour for the Syrian refugees to date. We are currently raising funds for our next 100 tonnes.

Please donate generously. One tonne costs £300.00 and will provide bread for 7,200 Syrians, but if you cannot raise funds for the complete tonne then you can contribute whatever you can towards it as all donations are greatly appreciated.

Allah says: “Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is Allah that giveth (you) plenty, and to Him shall be your return.” {Al-Qur’an, 2:245}

Feed the needy and poor today and Allah will feed you from his limitless bounty, insha Allah.
