Water Ramadan Challenge
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Welcome to the Ramadan Water Challenge 2021!
O Muslims, our Ummah is calling you to an amazing opportunity – the opportunity of a lifetime where you invest with Allāh and He rewards you with the profits in the hereafter.
What is this opportunity you ask?
Sadaqah e Jāriyah, an ongoing source of good deeds for after you pass away.
We are working with Crisis Aid to build water wells in Bangladesh and Rohingya and other countries (if Allāh permits) with your kind and generous donations to the families and communities that lack access to fresh clean water, something we take for granted!
In 2020, together we raised £1015 building 4 water pumps and in 2019 £1023 building 3 Water Tankers and 2 Water Pumps because of YOUR help. With the power of us coming together we helped families quench their thirst for many years to come. WE can come together to make a difference!
Narrated Saʿd ibn ʿUbadah:
Sa’d asked, “Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, Umm Sa’d has died; what form of ṣadaqah is best?” He ﷺ replied: “Water (is best). He dug a well and said: It is for Umm Sa’d.”[Sunan Abī Dawud 1681 – Ḥasan]
Abū Huraira reported Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allāh increases his honour, and no one humbles himself for the sake ofAllāh except that Allāh raises his status.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2588]
Abū Hurairah reported:
The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” [Tirmidhi 1376].
How thirsty do we feel during the hours of fasting? The difference between us and them is that we can quench our thirst and hunger at Maghrib, but they cannot. Day in and day out we drink water when we wish whilst they have to travel miles to get a few drops of freshwater. Let’s work together to make a difference in these families lives by giving them water that will last for decades!
Give generously in charity my brothers and sisters for this is the month of Ramadan where the deeds are multiplied. If this falls on the blessed night of laylatul qadr, this will be equivalent to giving charity for over a thousand months (83 years).
Donate now! £1 or £100, every amount creates an impactful change.
I ask Allāh عزوجل to reward and make this a means to Jannah for you.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this campaign which is so close to our hearts. جزاك الله خيرا
