Sewing Project For Women

Many women from poor families in rural communities across the Mauritania / Mali region are keen on earning an income to support their families; however they lack the means in order to do so.  Crisis Aid will provide these women, including widows, single mothers, young orphaned girls and those from extremely low income households, with fabric material, threads, needles and marker pens so that they are able to create traditional handmade Mauritanian dresses to sell.  This can enable them to buy food so that their children no longer need to go to sleep in a state of hunger.
