Anniyah Khan Honoured with the Iman wa Amal Special Award
A story of courage, compassion and the power of actions over words.
Anniyah Khan has been honoured with the prestigious Iman wa Amal Special Award, presented at The Muslim News Awards for Excellence, after being specially selected by the judges in recognition of her exceptional merit, unwavering compassion, and inspirational service to others.
As Anniyah is non-verbal, her father proudly accepted the award on her behalf during the ceremony, in what was an incredibly emotional and unforgettable moment for the family.
Anniyah has touched the hearts of thousands through her remarkable fundraising efforts, including raising £10,000 for children affected by the war in Gaza. Despite the daily challenges she faces as a young autistic, non-verbal woman, she has shown extraordinary courage, determination and kindness, proving that compassion knows no barriers and that actions truly do speak louder than words.
“As a family, we are deeply honoured and truly humbled to receive this special recognition on Anniyah’s behalf. She never does what she does for awards or recognition — she simply wants to help others. To see her kindness and determination recognised in this way is incredibly emotional and something we will cherish forever.”
