Feed Families Across Luton
This winter, Crisis Aid is partnering with mosques across Luton to help feed families struggling to afford essentials.
Together, we aim to raise £10,000 for Luton Foodbank and to make every donation go further, Crisis Aid will match fund the total amount, pound for pound, up to £10,000.
That means your donation will be doubled, feeding twice as many families in need, right here in our community.
Feeding the poor is among the greatest acts of charity
“Feeding the hungry is from the best of deeds and among the most beloved to Allah. It brings joy to a believer, removes hardship and strengthens brotherhood among Muslims.” – Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn
(Explanation of Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn, 4/232)
Why It Matters
Cost of Living Crisis
Families across Luton are struggling to cover even the most basic essentials. With food and energy prices at record highs, many are turning to foodbanks for support.
Empty Cupboards, Real Struggles
Families and children are skipping meals. For many, a food parcel means survival – providing dignity, nutrition and relief during these cold months.
Community Coming Together
This campaign brings mosques, schools and residents together – showing what unity truly looks like.
With your help and Crisis Aid’s match funding, every pound raised will do double the good.
How the Match Fund Works
- Mosques across Luton are collectively raising £10,000 for Luton Foodbank.
- Crisis Aid will match fund the community’s total – pound for pound up to £10,000.
- Together, we’ll provide food parcels for families in need across our town.
That means £10 becomes £20 – £50 becomes £100. Every penny goes directly towards feeding local families.
All food parcels include everyday essentials – rice, pasta, cereal, lentils, canned goods, oil, and fresh produce – distributed through Luton Foodbank to the families who need it most.
Let your charity feed a family, ease a struggle and bring light to a home this winter.
Every act of kindness counts and today, it counts double.
