The Challenge

Swap Luton for the dramatic cliffs, hills and trails of Cheddar Gorge as we take on an approximately four-hour hiking loop together.

Expect climbs, uneven terrain, incredible views and a challenge that will test you — but you don’t need to be an experienced hiker to take part.

Your challenge starts and finishes in Luton, with FREE return coach travel from Higher Ground and your NxtGen Challenge T-shirt included.

There is no registration fee.

Supporting NxtGen Pathways

NxtGen is a fresh, new initiative built in Luton, dedicated to helping young people aged 14–25 prepare for their future.

We launched in January 2026 with the NxtGen Careers Expo and we’ve been making moves ever since.

Careers are at the heart of NxtGen.

We want young people to discover opportunities, meet employers and professionals, understand different routes into work and make informed choices about their future.

A major focus is also helping young people develop a positive relationship with money — understanding earning, saving, spending, financial habits and the connection between work, ambition and money.

NxtGen is new, ambitious and growing.

And we want Luton to be part of what comes next.

We’ve started building something exciting in Luton.
