We decided to donate a well. In Chad. It's north-east of Nigeria, in desert/scrubland. After that….nothing! Not a squeak!
Chad is a demanding place, so we were expecting some difficulties. 9 months later, up pops an email, and THERE SHE IS! A beautiful well in a poor community of some 150 families, and they have clean water!
Wonderful. So uplifting. We're very pleased. The well looks well constructed (pun intended), very solid, doesn't require electricity (a good thing when you're on the edge of survival), and the water looks fresh and clean. The area and people remind me of my time in Nigeria, before independence, and some good memories.
So thank you very much, Crisis Aid, and your team out there. May you all receive your reward for such beautiful work.

Their optional admin fee is very reasonable, and they go the extra mile by providing pictures of the beneficiaries, allowing you to see exactly where your sadaqah has been used.
