Water is a source of life, yet over 1/6th of the world’s population lack access to safe drinking water. A further 2.5 billion, including 1 billion children, live without basic sanitation.

The cost is £297 to provide a well needed water pump that will provide water for hundreds each month.

In some areas of Bangladesh, some people have been using water from the nearby ponds, canals and rivers which are heavily polluted. They do not have any method of sanitising the water and this has caused many children, the elderly and the weak to die or become seriously ill.
