Running for Hope, Dignity and Inclusion
Removing barriers to enable underrepresented communities to access sport, health and wellbeing opportunities, while supporting Crisis Aid’s local and international work.
The story
We are surrounded by some of the world’s greatest sporting events, such as the London Marathon. Yet for many people from ethnically diverse, underrepresented and marginalised backgrounds, women in particular, these opportunities still feel out of reach. Crisis Aid aims to change this by promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
These opportunities only work when grassroots organisations help bridge the gap. That is why Crisis Aid is proud to be part of this campaign, in partnership with Revolution, removing barriers to enable underrepresented communities to access sport, health and wellbeing opportunities, while supporting Crisis Aid’s local and international work.
Through this campaign, our marathon runners are not only taking on a physical challenge, but also standing for representation, inclusion and hope. Together with Revolution, we are helping people who may never have imagined themselves at the start line to feel seen, supported and celebrated on one of the world’s biggest stages.
This campaign will help Crisis Aid continue supporting inclusive, community-led health and wellbeing initiatives in Luton. This includes providing access to safe spaces, equipment, coaching and opportunities that remove barriers caused by economic hardship, cultural stigma or lack of representation.
Every mile run sends a clear message: communities matter, opportunity should be inclusive, and real change is possible when people come together.
By supporting us, you’re not just backing runners — you’re investing in people, empowering communities and helping to break cycles of exclusion for good.
Thank you for being part of this journey.Â
