And what will make thee comprehend what the uphill road is? (It is) to free a slave. Or to feed in a day of hunger, An orphan closely related, Or the poor man lying in the dust. Quran 90: 12-16
Ramadan Food Parcels
One in every nine people in the world is food insecure. This means they have no access to food and nutrition. The world produces more than enough food to feed everyone but still we find 815 million people food insecure, that’s over 10% of the worlds population. Some countries around the world are worse off than others due to war, oppression, unfair distribution of wealth, drought, natural disasters and poverty.
Some of the worst effected countries are Yemen, Syria, Gaza, Congo, Uganda, South Sudan, Mayanmar. Crisis Aid is providing food aid on the ground for the above effected people as well as in other countries. This Ramadan you can provide a food parcel for a family of six in different countries around the world. The family will open their fasts and have sahoor (pre-dawn breakfast) with your donated food parcel.
Your kind donations will make a difference to families this Ramadan, you will bring them happiness, hope and above all a life to live. The recipients of your donations will be children, widows, orphans, the poor and needy, those stricken with malnutrition and suffering from cholera in desperate parts of the world.
Choose a country or multiple countries and see what’s in the food parcels and donate now. Save a life, provide food, bring happiness to a family this Ramadan. Let us show our gratitude to Allah for the many different blessing He has given us by helping the less fortunate.
It was narrated that Zayd ibn Khaalid al-Juhani said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” (Tirmidhi)
