Sameer Mhatay’s Ride For Shaam
£0 Raised
Assalamu Alaikum,
This year, I will be taking part in Ride for Shaam — a three-day cycling challenge from Luton to Paris in support of vulnerable families affected by conflict, displacement, and hardship.
Over the course of this challenge, we will cycle hundreds of miles across the UK and France, pushing ourselves physically and mentally for a cause far greater than ourselves.
While this journey will be difficult, it is nothing compared to the hardships faced daily by the people of Shaam.
Following the recent crisis in the region, more than one million people have been displaced from their homes. Many families still cannot return and continue to rely on humanitarian aid for food, shelter, medical care, and other essentials needed to survive.
Through this challenge, I hope to help Crisis Aid continue delivering urgent humanitarian support to those who need it most.
Why I’m Taking Part
I wanted to be part of something that combines personal challenge with meaningful impact.
Ride for Shaam is not simply about cycling from one city to another. It is about standing in solidarity with people facing unimaginable hardship and using our time, effort, and energy to support them in any way we can.
Every mile we ride represents hope, compassion, and support for vulnerable families struggling through crisis and uncertainty.
