Pakistan Water Well (solar)
Tharparkar desert in Sindh is one of the poorest areas of Pakistan. 87% of the people live below the poverty line.
Crisis Aid visited Tharparkar in 2019, what we saw was a situation we could not even imagine.
We were informed that it had not rained for two years
- Solar Water Well. Cost £1750
- Depth 80ft-150ft
- Beneficiaries: The villages have between 100-300 houses
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “The best charity is giving water to drink” [Ahmad] and he was the most generous in giving charity.
Note
The time it takes to complete a water project varies due to country, terrain, season and logistics. Most water projects are complete in 3-6 months. However due to reasons mentioned this can exceed 6 months.
